Today a great many events are occurring that affect Controls Engineers and Technicians. The Controls Group in an organization is primarily involved in both the mechanical and electrical discipline. However, the individual also needs to delve into the computer world, communications and safety codes, in addition to the mechanical and electrical components. Furthermore, we can never forget the process; a deep and thorough understanding is imperative.

CrossPoint actively promotes ISA (Instrument Society of America) and rigorously trains and tests CrossPoint personnel inside of ISA and ISA’s CCST (Certified Control System Technicians). In addition, vendors offer extremely valuable training classes on PLC’s, DSC’s, OSHA, cGMP, spreadsheets and project scheduling.

As part of our initiative to advance with technology, CrossPoint is incorporating Microsoft Project Schedule into this website. This will allow clients to see their project progress, retrieve calibration data sheets and access documents pertaining to their projects. CrossPoint is committed to excellence in execution. We are utilizing this technology to proactively assist clients with cost containment, as well as shorten their project completion time.

CrossPoint will be reinitiating the Metrology Users Groups before end of the year. These groups will be instrumental in obtaining consensus among manufacturing companies where applicable, sharing knowledge base, and generating good camaraderie. We look forward to these groups meeting monthly.
